I was very apprehensive at the thought of all the legalities I believed would be involved with Equity Release but I needed help to settle my interest only mortgage.
However, after my first meeting with Mark Lambert of Viva Retirement Solutions my mind was put at ease. Although it still seemed a lot to take in, Mark was at the end of the phone whenever I had any doubts or queries popping into my mind.

Paul was available at all times and although I only used emails and the telephone, I wondered if he ever clocked off!
Our first attempt fell through due to us not being able to work with the equity release companys’ demands and Paul was not fazed and did not object to our decision to stop proceedings with them.
He moved on to a new company and a deal was struck very quickly. We were given “no bull” just good honest facts which enabled us to understand the product 100%.

I sent an initial enquiry to 4 companies, and had a response from Paul Saroya within an hour, which is why I decided to use Viva's services. I was acting in my power of attorney capacity, which made the process more complex, but Paul was very knowledgeable about how to proceed in this situation.
There were no delays and the process took just over 3 months from initial enquiry to completion. In short I had every confidence in Paul and found him to be extremely knowledgeable about the product he was selling and very professional in his dealings with me and others involved.

Mark Lambert demonstrated both "best practice" and "clinical excellence" concerning financial matters towards my recently widowed 85 year old mum.
From the very first phone call my mum and I were completely confident of his ability as a financial adviser.
He has extraordinarily good communication skills and took great care with my mum, who has poor hearing, in explaining & listening to her concerns.
The report that was generated from our face to face meeting was clear & easy to read and was quickly produced.

Before starting the Equity Release process my main concern had been choosing the right financial adviser.
There seemed quite a lot to trawl through on the Equity Release Council website and my experiences were mixed.
