MEET OUR TEAM OF EQUITY RELEASE ADVISERS
Paul Saroya, BSc
I have have been involved with advising members of the public since 1998 with many years of industry experience with Aviva, formerly Norwich Union. I truly believe in putting you the client first and have built up numerous lifetime clients who are so happy with my help that they ask me to look after their friends and relatives too!
I specialise in Equity Release, but have a good working knowledge of a wide variety of solutions across the industry.
With regards to Equity Release I have helped hundreds of clients release millions of pounds to help make their dreams and their families dreams come true, or at the very least make their position better.
Viva Retirement Solutions and myself pride ourselves on weighing up the pro’s and con’s before recommending if equity release is right or not in your specific situation.
Since the end of 2014 I am the Member Ambassador for the Answers in Retirement Later Life Academy. I am a graduated member of this organisation.
I have been advising members of the public since October 2003, specialising in equity release since October 2005 with one of the largest providers of Equity Release in the UK. During my time as a Lifetime Mortgage and Equity Release specialist I have helped hundreds of customers release over £30,000,000 of equity from their property.
I pride myself in giving good financial advice. If a Lifetime Mortgage or releasing equity from your property is not right for you, I will tell you what you should be doing instead to help you achieve your objectives in the most cost efficient way possible.
I am also on the Equity Release Council's Advisory Panel, helping to shape the future of this important area of financial planning based on my own customer experiences and have recently been heavily involved with the LIBF (London Institute of Banking & Finance) helping to re-write their study material for their equity release qualification.

Outside of work i enjoy spending time with my wife and three children and working on my classic mini.
I'm a Diploma qualified Lifetime Mortgage specialist who is proud to work for Viva Retirement Solutions, an award winning Equity Release/Lifetime Mortgage advice company. I am a graduated member of the Answers in Retirement Later Life Academy. I have been giving advice to clients since 2000 on releasing equity from their homes, which I truly believe has changed their lives.
I strive to listen and take on board what clients believe are their priorities and objectives and then advise on whether Equity Release is right for them. Everyones needs and circumstances are different and releasing equity from your home is certainly not right for everyone.
I have advised many hundreds of clients during my career to date. I genuinely feel that equity release schemes have given them the freedom to choose the quality of life, standard of living and peace of mind they require in their lives and given them the opportunity to enjoy their retirement as they wish.
I am a family man myself with a wife and three grown up children. I would be happy to discuss releasing equity from your property with you wherever you may live. I look forward to hearing from you!

I have two sons who have both graduated from university, my eldest from Loughborough and youngest from Bristol.
I enjoy a range of sport and when I have time thoroughly enjoy travelling. I am lucky to live in a village in Surrey with my dog Marnie, which is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty.
I am proud to work at Viva Retirement Solutions and joined the award-winning team as I had worked with the Directors previously and know they have the same approach to providing excellent client service as I do.
I have worked in Financial Services for 33 years and have a wealth of experience in all areas of financial planning. I am fully qualified and strive to understand my client’s needs and objectives before finding the right solution(s) for them.
I am proud to represent Viva Retirement Solutions and joined primarily as a result of working with the Directors previously. They have the same ‘client first’ attitude to business which meets my expectations and as a result many of my clients refer family and friends for me to look after.
The Equity Release / Lifetime Mortgage marketplace is rapidly evolving and we pride ourselves in offering unbiased advice to our clients. If we do not think releasing equity from your property is the right thing for you, we will tell you what you should be doing instead.
I personally specialise in all types of mortgages along with personal and business life assurance. My aim is to help you achieve your goals and protect your lifestyle in the event of the unexpected.
I am married with a wonderful wife, two grown up children and a grandson. I enjoy a variety of sports, although I do not play many now as we spend a lot of time travelling.
Whatever your needs, feel free to contact me for a no obligation discussion to see if we can work together.
Prior to joining Viva Retirement Solutions, I worked for the world’s largest building society; Nationwide, for 32 years. Putting customers at the heart of everything I do matches perfectly with Viva’s service ethos, and I am delighted to have the opportunity of advising our clients as to how they can achieve their later life aspirations.
Viva were recommended to me as a company that I should continue my career with, and I am delighted to have joined the team.
My career at Nationwide was varied and enjoyable. My passion was helping members achieve their financial goals whether as an adviser or a senior manager with responsibility for adviser and branch teams. Most recently I have been advising borrowers whose mortgages have come to the end of their term, to create repayment solutions for them. I understand that there is a growing need for quality advice in this area as well as later life planning generally. It is my aim to ensure that all my clients have the necessary knowledge and opportunity to make suitable and beneficial decisions to ensure a fulfilling retirement.

I am married with one son and live in Gloucestershire and enjoy a range of sports some of which I even take part in! Retirement is something that I will have to think about in the future but before that happens I would be delighted to discuss your needs with you to ensure you enjoy the best possible future.
I have been working in the financial services advisory sector for nearly 40 years with a key focus on providing quality advice to clients to meet their needs. I have extensive experience of the mortgage industry but more latterly, following my retirement from a long career in banking, I have turned my attention to advising the over 55’s who wish to use their housing wealth to meet a wide range of needs.
Being in that age bracket myself I can fully appreciate the challenges faced when considering retirement and the range of conflicting priorities such as supporting adult children to achieve their dreams, repaying existing mortgages, or simply wanting a better retirement.
In 2019 I was lucky enough to be invited to be a member of the Equity Release Council’s standards board where I use my experience and expertise to assist the Council to ensure quality and safe equity release advice is delivered across the industry.
I have worked in the financial sector for 20 years and have gained a wealth of experience in client services and delivering solutions that best suits a client’s needs.
I feel very proud to have joined such an experienced and highly regarded team and I am really looking forward to the challenge faced in resolving key issues around later life. These important questions faced in retirement has really drawn me to this rapidly evolving marketplace. I am fully qualified, but furthering my expertise and consolidating my qualifications through studying for my diploma.
I am married with a wonderful wife, one son and living in Essex. I like to keep fit through my weekly running club, however my young son always manages to keep me active. It is my goal to give my clients a better understanding, to provide them with the best opportunity in making suitable and beneficial decisions to provide for a happy retirement.
I have worked in the property and finance markets for the past 17 years and have seen many changes to both industries in that time. I hold certificates of excellence in mortgages CeMAP and equity release CeRER. My attention was drawn to the equity market three years ago when a raft of product changes made it the excellent solution it is today.
I decided to work with Viva Retirement Solutions when I met their director Paul Saroya at a lenders event and immediately realised that the companies moral and ethical ideas matched my own. Equity release and in particular lifetime mortgages is a constantly changing market with new products arriving on an almost daily basis, Viva Retirement Solutions approach to continual personal development ensures that I stay up to date and offer our clients the most holistic, up to date and cost effective advice available.
After many years living in Greece I am now based in Essex but cover anywhere in the South East area. I am happy to discuss your needs and wishes either on the telephone or in your home on a no obligation basis, releasing equity from your home is an important decision and my goal is to help you make the right one whether that leads to an application or not.
Thank you for reading my bio and I hope to meet you soon.
I have been working in the financial service industry or 20 years from managing building society branches, training new mortgage advisers, to the fundamental compliance structure before going back to my love of working
directly with clients. My journey through this industry has highlighted my passion for delivering the best later life mortgage service I can, as the
job is so rewarding.
I would like to say that I found my perfect job, but I think the perfect job
found me as there is no better feeling than that of helping someone get what they need, want or desire. Life is for living and if I can help someone live a better quality of life through this service then what better jobs satisfaction.
I am happily divorced with three wonderful grown up children and five grandchildren who mean the world to me and they generally come into conversation with my clients, as kids do say the funniest of things.
I'm a real person with real problems as we all do, so, outside of work I
keep a healthy body and mind by running or swimming.
I started my Financial Services journey in my 30’s at Quilter (formerly Intrinsic) as an Independent Mortgage and Protection advisor. I had started my career in Procurement for some household name firms and early graduated with a degree in Economics and Politics from Loughborough University. I qualified in Equity Release (CeRER) in 2017 and have enjoyed helping clients secure Lifetime MortgageS since then.
Viva’s ‘Client First’ approach first attracted me to the firm. I moved to Viva in order to have access to the best possible products for my Lifetime Mortgage clients and work amongst some the best advisors in the industry. I still provide unbiased, impartial advice in a range of areas, supporting my existing clients for normal mortgage and protection services.
I live in the Rickmansworth area with my wife, two children and a dog. I enjoy dancing (as if no-one is watching) playing golf when family life allows. I have a passion for coffee (from bean to cup) and you will always find me willing to share a cup.
Financial services can be a bit daunting when it’s unfamiliar, particular when it involves your home. I take pride in understanding my clients needs and helping them understand the best options available, before supporting them through the process. This will often involve working at times convenient to them – and that’s fine by me. It all starts with a phone call.
